A Royal Performance

Brooke attended the opening night of the musical 42nd Street and got to meet Her Royal Highness the Duchess of Cambridge.

The new version of the legendary musical has had rave reviews with the Daily Telegraph newspaper describing the show in its five star review as ‘An achingly beautiful revival of an American classic.’

It was a remarkable press night attended by a host of celebrities from film, TV and stage, including acting legend Morgan Freeman.

The audience was wowed from the first minute as the curtain rose to more than fifty tap dancers in spectacular costumes setting the standard for a performance of high octane energy.

The lead role is played by singing legend Sheena Easton and the whole cast was given a standing ovation at the curtain call.

As CEO of G Entertainment, Brooke has invested £1.3 million in the musical which is playing at the Theatre Royal, Drury Lane.

The show is backing East Anglian Children’s Hospice’s (EACH) Nook Appeal which aims to raise £10 million for a new state-of-the-art facility to help terminally ill youngsters.

The princess attended in her role as Royal Patron of EACH.

Brooke said: ‘It was a truly amazing night and a tremendous honour to meet the Duchess of Cambridge.

‘We met at the interval and mainly spoke about EACH and the Nook Appeal. She was charm personified.

‘The show really was fantastic. It’s about as spectacular as you can get. The reviews have been absolutely amazing.

‘We’re incredibly confident that it’s also been a very successful investment which ultimately is the priority.’
